GREWIP Project: last quarter activities carried out in the vineyard

The GREWIP (Great Red Euganean Wines Improvement Project) Operational Group continues its work in the vineyards to manage the activities planned for the second year of the project.

Beginning in early May, weekly monitoring of the various phenological stages of the vines part of the project vineyards was conducted, accompanied by surveys to estimate potential production and its adjustment through green pruning.

With the start of the first stages of berry ripening, work focused on monitoring veraison and berry growth by processing bunch images using artificial intelligence software.

Finally, starting on July 31st, grape sampling began for the purpose of creating ripening curves, a fundamental tool for tracking grape ripening and supporting the project’s technical assessments.
